1883 Satin & Lace Evening Dress – Corsage Bodice Pattern
Vera Rena Reproduction
Product Overview
This pattern is reproduced from a classic 1883 plate published in Harper's Bazaar, capturing the quintessential evening gown aesthetic of the late Victorian era. Crafted in white satin with lace accents and adorned with pink roses, the design emphasizes a fitted corsage bodice contrasted against a voluminous draped skirt—balancing structural precision with romantic softness. Ideal for historical reenactment, period costuming, or elegant special occasion wear.
Design Features
· Corsage Bodice – Features a lace-up back for easy dressing and adjustable fit
· Short Sleeves – Made of pleated lace, offering a light and layered effect
· Skirt – Front and back draped panels with accordion pleats set at the side seams to add fullness
· Decorative Details – Pink roses trim the bodice and drapery, creating a soft contrast against the white satin
