Derived from an 1883 fashion plate, it embodies classic formal dinner and ballroom fashion of the later Victorian period. Featuring a tailored fitted bodice paired with a full draped skirt, the design balances rigid structural shaping with gentle, flowing romantic aesthetics. Corsage (Bodice): Back lace-up construction delivers flexible adjustability and convenient dressing. Short Sleeves: Crafted from pleated lace, finished with narrow lace frills along the upper edge for lightweight layered texture. Skirt: The silhouette relies on front and back draped fabric panels; accordion side pleats are set into side seams to build generous skirt fullness.

The short satin base skirt features a six-inch wide satin side pleated trim, surmounted by a ten-inch lace flounce crowned with a rose garland. Front and side draperies are formed by solid-piece lace, while the rear drape uses satin; all draped edges are trimmed with wide lace flounce.
